Trinity at work! Class Descriptions
Please note that class fee must be paid at time of registration. Telephone registrations will be held for payment for one week. A 10% discount will be given on all fabrics, books, patterns, and notions for class projects. Cancellations must be given one week in advance. We reserve the right to cancel a class and will make every effort to give advance notice.
Offered Monthly – Special times to come and sew, perhaps an unfinished project or time to start a new one. Use the design wall or just have space to spread out. Bring a lunch or order in. Bond with other quilters. Saturday Sew Day - $10.00 TGIF Sewing - $10.00 Tuesday Afternoon Sewing - $7.50
HQ Class – This class gives you hands on experience with the HQ Advante machine. You will start from loading a “quilt” to practicing various techniques that can be used to quilt your quilt. Once you have completed the class you are then eligible to rent time on the frame to finish your own quilts! Class size limited. Sign up early! UFO Nights - Do you have any unfinished objects in your closet? Do you have a project you need help with? Join us for this night and get started again! Embroidery Club – Do you have an embroidery machine? Here’s a chance to use it! Each month you will practice a new technique and pick up new information to use. Artista Version 5 Software – This will be offered as a monthly lesson using various features of this remarkable software. Each class is a stand alone and does not build off the previous class.
Hand Quilting Group – This group meets and shares skills, ideas, and friendship. Dig out that hand project or start a new one. Class Fee: $5.00
Color/Design Study Group – Are you ready to take yourself to the next level? This group is designed to stretch your ideas and share with other quilters. A great opportunity to question, share, discuss and get excited about color and design in quilting. This group will be primarily self directed. Time together will be spent studying next projects and based on exercises chosen by the group from many available resources. The goal is to look at small projects to be made between classes. Class Fee: $7.50
Forget Me Knots Appliqué BOM – Start your own family heirloom using Jeana Kimball’s wonderful collection of appliqué designs inspired by mid-nineteenth century album quilts. The blocks are 12 inches square…not too large but with just enough detail to keep you challenged. Freezer paper templates, tracing paper overlays and needle turn technique will make each block’s creation enjoyable and encourage you to go on to another design. Previous appliqué experience required. 8 classes- minimum 8 Class Fee: $100.00 Teacher: Leslie Cook Sew for Linus - As part of the Linus project we have set aside some sew days to make Linus quilts. Bring in your own to work on or help us put some together. Rosebud Lane Block of the Month - Are your blocks still waiting to be put together? S Quilt as You Go Runner - Great beginner class - with this technique once you put it together you are done. No more to quilt! Charm Party Tote – This is the bag of the month! Create this tote using charm squares. Make it for yourself or for a friend. All levels
February Classes Hunter's Star - A technique designed to streamline construction of the traditional Hunter’s Star block. Each student will learn how to use Deb’s Rapid Fire Hunter’s Star rulers and sewing procedures to quickly and accurately assemble the blocks. Ruler and pattern required. All Levels Hearts & Flowers - This qult has piecing and applique. A beautiful quilt that can use up scraps or charm squares. (3 classes)
Paper Pieced Hearts - Using Carol Doak's technique, paper piece hearts. You will be surprised how accurate and perfect the points are! Great for using up scraps. All Levels It's All In The Heart - Have you been afraid to try hand applique? Here's a great opportunity to learn the basics with Leslie Cook. Let her guide you through the technique with ease.
Finishing Well/ Color Play - This is a two part class. You may choose either or both. In the morning you will learn about finishing your quilts and what judges look for in quilt shows. The afternoon will be spent learning and playing with color. Runner With A Twist - This runner looks complicated but the construction is really easy! Good for all levels.
Tulip Bag - This is the bag of the month. Perfect for monogramming or embellishing, this fast and easy purse is ergonomically balanced so it won't turn over! No more lost cell phone! Customize yours with choice of 4 purse sizes, 3 pocket styles, strap length and closure style! Make one for you and one for a friend!
Knit & Sew Jacket - This class is a combination of sewing and knitting! You will spend half the day putting the jacket together - easy construction and the other half knitting the rest. Pocket of the Month - Each month features a different wall hanging for that special spot in your home or use as a gift. This month we offer hearts.
Handi-Quilter Advanced Class - This class is for quilters who own a HQ or use one well. Debbie will explore ruler work and share tips and techniques for quilting your quilts. Limited space Spring Surprise- Make this wall hanging for spring using raw edge or machine applique.
March Classes Grocery Tote - Go green to the store. Make your own totes. Carry several - they fold up and fit in a small space. Easy to make!
Pocket of the Month - Each month features a different wall hanging for that special spot in your home or use as a gift. This month the pattern is pinwheels.
Pineapple Quilt - Think Pineapple blocks are difficult? Think again - because once again Karin has made them Sew Simple! Start with a square, and keep on adding layers till your pineapple explodes in wonderful variations of colour and fabric. It's a fun idea, and with no fabric wastage it's 'sew economical' too! (4 classes) Level - from beginner to advanced
Reversible Quilt - This quilt is made in blocks and when you are done you have 2 quilts instead of one! Uses a quilt as you go method. All Levels (2 classes) Jubilee - This quilt uses 2 1/2 inch strips! Cut your own or use bali pops or a jelly roll. Easy construction - basket weave look. (2 classes) Camille's Bag - This month's choice for our bag of the month. Choose a fabric from your stash or pick a new one. Pin Play - This is offered at two different times. Bring fabric scraps, beads, embellishments – anything you might have around. Make a pin using a variety of embellishments. Fun class - bring a friend! Expanding your Toolbox - If you missed it the first time here's your chance! Hands on overview of art quilting techniques including gel prints, paint sticks, Angelina fibers, foiling and stamping. All levels – lots of fun and one on one assistance. Wear old clothes and get ready to play! Pizza Night - Sew, sew and sew from 4 - midnight! Get out those projects, start a new one but come have fun. Pizza included - this is great pizza!! Grab a friend and sign up. Machine Maintenance - Learn basc maintenance of your machine and how to adjust your tension.

Nickel Quilt - A great way to use up scraps or five inch charm squares. Choose from several options! (3 classes) Stained Glass - Choose from several patterns and create a beautiful wall hanging using the bias tape technque. (2 classes)
Landscape Studio – Create your own original landscape. The Landscape Studio is an introduction to the landscape process which builds and hones your skills in a unique 2 session format. Session I – Drawing for Real and Sewing for Real Creating a drawing, composition, fabric choice, making a template, piecing skills Session II – Thread-painting for Real and Quilting for Real Problem solving, thread painting skills, quilting and finishing techniques The workshop is split into 2 sessions which meet several weeks apart to allow students ample time to work on their landscape at home. Sessions meet Friday & Saturday from 10 – 5. Friday night group dinner. Students are responsible for their accommodations and meals. Maximum of 10 students.
